Do you carry out both domestic and commercial electrical work?

Yes. RW Bell works with both domestic and commercial customers.

Our domestic work ranges from electrical repairs and lighting improvements to heating, security systems and complete property rewires.

For commercial customers, we can assist with electrical installations, testing and inspection, lighting, heating, ventilation, security and ongoing electrical requirements.

How do I know if my home needs rewiring?

It is not always obvious when a property needs to be rewired, particularly because most electrical wiring is hidden behind walls, floors and ceilings.

The age and condition of the installation, previous alterations and any recurring electrical problems can all be factors.

If you own an older property or are unsure about the condition of the wiring, the best starting point is to have the electrical installation assessed. Can you rewire older properties?

It is always worth involving your electrician early in the planning process. This gives you the opportunity to consider socket positions, lighting, heating, ventilation, security and other electrical requirements before walls and finishes are completed.

We can also work alongside builders, joiners and other trades involved in your project.

Do you provide electrical testing and inspections?

Yes. RW Bell provides electrical testing and inspection for homes, landlords, businesses and other property owners.

Testing can help establish the condition of an electrical installation and identify faults, deterioration or areas where improvements may be recommended.

Following an inspection, we can explain our findings clearly and discuss any further work that may be required.

I am a landlord – can you carry out electrical testing on my property?

Yes. We work with landlords and property owners and can carry out electrical testing and inspection of rental properties.

Can you install new lighting?

Do you install electric heating?

Depending on your requirements, this can include electric radiators, panel heaters, heating controls, thermostats and timers.

We can also provide electric heating for extensions, renovated rooms, holiday properties and areas where additional heating is required.

Can you replace old electric heaters?

Do you install extractor fans and ventilation?
